Emergency Board Up Services
After a break-in, vehicle impact, fire, or storm, we board up homes and businesses, covering broken windows, smashed doors, and open walls with 1/2" or 5/8" CDX plywood fastened with exterior screws or carriage bolts. Our trucks carry plywood, 2x4s, and a cordless impact driver, so we can secure the building in a single visit. The board up stays in place until permanent glass, door, or wall repairs are complete.
Emergency Roof Tarping
We cover damaged roofs with heavy-duty poly tarps, running them over the ridge and fastening them with 1x4 furring strips and cap nails so wind can't lift the edges. We tarp over missing shingles, punctures from fallen limbs, and burned-through decking. For large holes, we first lay a sheet of OSB over the opening so water doesn't pool in the tarp.
Fire Damage Board Up
Once the fire department releases the property, we board up blown-out windows, doors forced open for access, and holes vented through the roof using plywood and 2x4 strongbacks.
Storm Damage Board Up
When high wind, hail, or fallen trees damage a building, we secure broken windows and torn-open walls with plywood and timber screws, then tarp any exposed roof sections.
Broken Window Board Up
We clear the broken glass from the frame, cut a sheet of plywood to fit, and screw it into the framing from the outside.
How Much Does Emergency Board Up Cost?
An emergency board-up typically costs $285 to $2,650 for a single visit. The final price depends on how many windows, doors, or wall openings need plywood, whether the crew comes out after hours, and how much of the roof needs tarping over the ridge.
